Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Beijing
Welcome to China! Your guide will meet you at Beijing Airport and escort you to your hotel.
As the capital of China, Beijing has transformed into a vibrant modern metropolis, yet traces of its ancient past still abound. Today, you may rest or start exploring this vast city at your own pace.
Suggested hotels: Beijing Belt Hotel, Tiantan Hotel, Tianlun Songhe Hotel (Wangfujing) or similar.
Day 2 – Forbidden City & Hutongs
After breakfast, visit Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Then explore the highlight of the day — the Forbidden City, the world’s largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex. For over 500 years, it was home to 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Despite centuries of renovations, its original layout remains intact.
After lunch, experience Beijing’s hutong culture: ride a rickshaw around Shichahai Lake, stroll along Yandai Xiejie creative street, and try your hand at Peking Opera mask painting in a nearby studio by Prince Gong’s Mansion. Wander through narrow alleys lined with traditional courtyard houses and feel the rhythm of old Beijing.
Dinner: Not included.
Hotel: Same as previous night.
Day 3 – Great Wall & Summer Palace
After breakfast, visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the most scenic and well-preserved sections, popular among international travelers. Ride a cable car to the top and enjoy sweeping views of the majestic wall snaking across the mountains.
After lunch, head to the Summer Palace, China’s largest and best-preserved imperial garden. Centered on Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, it was modeled after Hangzhou’s West Lake and incorporates classical Jiangnan landscape design, creating a perfect harmony of nature and art.
Dinner: Not included.

After lunch, take a shuttle to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, named after Xiang Dakun, a Tujia chieftain from the early Ming Dynasty. Walk to the Helong Park viewing deck for grand views of the unique stone pinnacles, and admire the sea of rocks rising from mist-filled valleys at Dianjiang Platform.
